Amravati, 12 May (HS): Besides family members of

Justice Bhushan Gavai, many prominent people from Amravati are expected to

attend the swearing-in ceremony of Justice Gavai as the 52nd Chief

Justice of India on May 14. President Droupadi Murmu will administer him the

oath at 11 am. The Bar Association has made arrangements for live viewing of

the ceremony on a big screen.

Amravati is celebrating the event, as the city is

getting the highest honour for its residents. Pratibha Patil became the

President, late R S Gavai held the post of Governor, and now his son Bhushan

Gavai is becoming the CJI. Justice Bhushan Gavai’s mother Kamlatai Gavai;

brother Dr Rajendra Gavai; daughter Krutika, uncles Vasant Gavai, Dr Vishwas

Gavai; sister Kirti Arjun, nephew Dharam Arjun, and other relatives will attend

the oath taking ceremony.
