Guwahati, 15 May (HS): An incident of theft has come to light on Thursday in the under-construction house of Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pavitra Margherita in Jaya Nagar area of Guwahati. The thieves who broke into the minister’s house made away with valuables.

According to the information, the thieves cut the copper wire of the air conditioner and also took away other iron items. At the time when this theft took place, Minister of State for External Affairs Pavitra Margherita was on a foreign tour.

As soon as the news of the theft was received, there was a stir in the Guwahati Police Department. The police have started investigation and the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area is being scrutinized.
