Guwahati, 16 May (HS): Two notorious drug peddlers were arrested in Beltala Namghar Path and Barbari area by the EGPD team of Basishth police station and STF Assam in a joint operation.
Assam Police PRO said on Friday that the arrested accused have been identified as Mintu Mishra Sharma alias Meenal (30) and Biswajit Dalai alias Baba (41).
The items seized during the raid include three tobacco boxes and three plastic packets containing suspected heroin (total weight: 46.20 grams), 789 empty vials, ₹21,480 cash, three mobile phones and a Honda Dio scooter (AS-01BV 7027).
Police said that the necessary legal process has been initiated against the arrested accused. Such action against drugs will continue in future as well.
