
Kathmandu, May 28 (HS): New Zealand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Winston Peters begins a two-day visit to Nepal today, marking the first official visit at this level from New Zealand. Invited by Nepal’s Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana, Peters is expected to sign agreements to strengthen bilateral relations. Foreign Secretary Amrit Rai noted that Peters will have courtesy meetings with President Ram Chandra Poudel and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, followed by bilateral discussions with Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba in the evening. He will also visit Mount Everest by helicopter. Peters returns on Thursday.
