Israel bombs Iran state TV studio during live broadcast

Moment debris falls in Iran state TV studio after Israeli strikes

Tehran, June 17 (H.S.): Israel targeted the headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) yesterday, with Israeli fighter jets bombing the location during a live broadcast. A video shared by the BBC shows a massive explosion, startling anchor Sahar Emami, who quickly evacuates as smoke engulfs the screen and sounds of shattering glass and screams are heard. Al Jazeera reported that Israel also bombed several sites in central Iran, with unconfirmed reports of journalists being killed. The New York Times noted that Israeli forces attacked the command center of the Quds Force, a key Iranian military unit responsible for foreign operations and support of proxy groups like Hezbollah.
