Delhi, 18 June (H.S.): Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a series of warnings against the terrorist Zionist regime early Wednesday, stating the battle begins, amidst increasing tensions with Israel. This statement followed US President Donald Trump’s threats, who earlier demanded Iran’s unconditional surrender. Khamenei emphasized the need for a strong response to Israel, declaring no mercy would be shown. The context for his statements included Iran’s recent missile strikes on Israel. He framed these actions within a larger ideological battle, referencing the historic battle of Khaybar with a symbolic image in his posts.
Khamenei posted on X: “We must give a strong response to the terrorist Zionist regime. We will show the Zionists no mercy.” The statement came shortly after Iran launched two rounds of ballistic missiles at Israel early Wednesday.
Trump responded through his platform Truth Social, asserting US control over Iranian airspace and threatening that Iran’s leadership was an easy target. He clarified that while they were not seeking to eliminate Khamenei immediately, US patience was diminishing, urging for Iran’s total surrender. Iran’s missile launches comprised two waves, totaling around 25 projectiles, which alarmed residents in Israel but resulted in no reported casualties, except for some damage in a parking lot.
Additionally, warning sirens were activated around the Dead Sea, pointing to a suspected drone infiltration. Concurrently, Israel continued its military actions against Iran, urging evacuations in Tehran’s District 18 due to planned strikes on strategic infrastructure, confirming new airstrikes as well. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) initiated this military campaign six days prior, characterizing it as vital for dismantling Iran’s nuclear and missile threats. Reports have indicated significant casualties, with Iranian officials claiming at least 224 deaths from Israeli strikes, while Israel estimates over 370 missiles and numerous drones launched by Iran, resulting in 24 Israeli fatalities and over 500 injuries.
