Following a strong closing in American markets, Dow Jones futures are trending upward. European markets faced selling pressure in the previous session, with the FTSE, CAC, and DAX indices each declining. In contrast, Asian markets are experiencing significant gains today, with all nine indices showing positive movements. The S&P 500 closed at 6,025.17, up by 0.96%, while the Nasdaq ended at 19,630.97, gaining 0.94%. Dow Jones futures are at 42,805.04, rising by 0.52%. The FTSE index closed at 8,758.04, down 0.19%, the CAC at 7,537.57, down 0.69%, and the DAX at 23,269.01, down 0.35%.
In Asia, widespread buying is evident: the GIFT Nifty is at 25,234.50, up 1.02%; the Nikkei is at 38,758.15, up 1.04%; the KOSPI is at 3,100.61, up 2.78%; and the Hang Seng is at 24,172.47, up 2%. Other indices, including SET, Jakarta composite, Taiwan weighted, Shanghai composite, and Straits Times, are also showing gains, reflecting overall positive sentiment in Asian markets following the ceasefire announcement.
