Indian stock market set to open flat on Tuesday amid mixed global cues

New Delhi, 1 July (H.S.): The Indian stock market benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty 50, are set to open flat on Tuesday, influenced by mixed global cues. Gift Nifty shows a flattish start, trading around 25,630, a premium of nearly 15 points from Nifty futures’ previous close.

On Monday, the indices ended their four-day rally, with the Sensex down 452.44 points (0.54%) at 83,606.46 and Nifty 50 down 120.75 points (0.47%) at 25,517.05. The short-term outlook remains positive; 83,500 is a crucial level. If it falls below 83,500, targets of 83,200-83,000 could arise, but a sustained move above 83,500 may push it to 83,900, and possibly 84,200. The Bank Nifty also saw a decline, closing at 57,312.75, showing potential for corrective consolidation if it drops below 56,800.
