Weak signals from global market, mixed trading in Asia

New Delhi, July 14(HS): Today, the Indian market is reflecting weak signals from the global market. The US market experienced pressure in the previous session, with Dow Jones futures currently declining. European markets also faced weakness, closing lower. Concerns regarding US President Donald Trump’s tariff policy caused uncertainty in the US market, leading to a drop in indices.

The S&P 500 index fell by 0.33% to 6,259.75 points, while the Nasdaq closed down 0.22% at 20,585.53 points. Dow Jones futures are down by 196.08 points, or 0.44%, at 44,175.43 points. In Europe, selling pressure resulted in the FTSE closing down 0.39% at 8,941.12 points, the CAC down 0.93% at 7,829.29 points, and the DAX down by 201.50 points or 0.83% at 24,255.31 points.

Asian markets are mixed today, with 5 of 9 indices in the green, and 4 in the red. GIFT Nifty is down 95 points, or 0.38%, at 25,096.50 points. The Nikkei index decreased by 0.11% to 39,526.43 points, while the Hang Seng dropped by 0.03% at 24,133.25 points. Conversely, the Straits Times, KOSPI, and Jakarta Composite indices showed gains.
