Massachusetts, 20 July (H.S.): Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer, has resigned after a viral video purportedly showing him and a senior manager in an embrace at a Coldplay concert in Boston sparked controversy. The company announced his resignation on social media, three days after the footage surfaced, leading to allegations of an affair. While Astronomer had previously placed Byron on leave, they did not confirm whether he was indeed in the video. The board of directors accepted his resignation and will seek a new CEO.

Byron and Cabot faced backlash due to their marriages, exacerbated by a viral video. Byron became CEO of Astronomer in 2023 and welcomed Cabot in November 2024, noting a “transformative” period.Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan, an Associate Director at Bancroft School, removed her surname from Facebook and later deactivated her account.
