Peshawar, 20 July (H.S.): Seven police personnel who were on a routine patrol in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have gone missing, according to police officials on Sunday. The district police chief, Arshad Khan, stated that the personnel went missing while patrolling the South Waziristan district, which borders Afghanistan. He identified three of the missing policemen as Insaf, Abid, and Ismail from the Laddha police station.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of law enforcement officers in the region, which has been plagued by militancy and terrorist activities. The authorities have launched a search operation to locate the missing personnel and bring them back to safety. It is a distressing situation for their families and colleagues, and strict measures must be taken to ensure the protection of police personnel who risk their lives every day to maintain law and order in the country.
