New Delhi, July 30 (H.S.):At the Under-17 World Wrestling Championship in Athens, India’s Hardeep clinched gold in the 110-kilogram Greco-Roman category on Tuesday. He triumphed over Iran’s Yazdan Reza Delrouz in the final, winning based on criteria after a 3-3 tie.

Earlier, Hardeep secured victories against Kazakhstan’s Bakhtur Sovetkhan (2-0), Poland’s Mateusz Jaroslaw Tomelka (4-2)in the round of 16, Ukraine’s Anatoly Novachenko (9-0), and Turkey’s Emrullah Capkan (4-2) in the semifinals, making his gold medal achievement.
