India, Qatar Reaffirm Strategic Trade and Investment Ties

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held talks with Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sayed

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday held talks with Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, focusing on strengthening bilateral trade and investment ties.

During the meeting, Sitharaman highlighted India’s transformative policy initiatives over the past decade aimed at attracting foreign investments and fostering economic growth. Both ministers reiterated their commitment to deepening economic cooperation under the framework of the India-Qatar strategic partnership.

Recognizing India’s rapid economic and technological progress, the Qatari delegation expressed optimism about promising investment opportunities across diverse sectors in the Indian market.
