
Kathmandu, September 4 (HS): Chief Justice of India (CJI) B.R. Gavai is set to arrive in Kathmandu today for a two-day official visit to Nepal, his first trip to the country. The visit comes at the invitation of Nepal’s Chief Justice, Prakashman Singh Raut.
During his stay, CJI Gavai will attend the Nepal-India Judicial Seminar in Kathmandu as the chief guest. The seminar, organized by the Supreme Court Bar Association of Nepal, will be attended by Nepal’s Chief Justice, justices of the Supreme Court, and several senior advocates.
Apart from his official engagements, CJI Gavai is scheduled to visit the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu to offer prayers and perform a special Rudrabhishek ritual. He will also travel to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha, and tour the Shree Krishna Temple and Patan Durbar Museum in Patan.
