
New Delhi, September 9 (HS): The domestic bullion market witnessed a contrasting trend today, with gold prices softening slightly while silver surged to a fresh record high. Silver prices jumped by ₹3,000 per kilogram, touching an all-time high of ₹1,30,000 in the Delhi bullion market, even as gold slipped marginally from its peak.
Across most major markets, 24-carat gold is trading between ₹1,08,370 and ₹1,08,520 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold ranged from ₹99,340 to ₹99,490 per 10 grams. In Delhi, 24-carat gold is priced at ₹1,08,520, with 22-carat gold quoted at ₹99,490 per 10 grams.
In Mumbai, 24-carat gold is at ₹1,08,370 and 22-carat at ₹99,340. Ahmedabad recorded retail rates at ₹1,08,420 for 24-carat and ₹99,390 for 22-carat gold. In Chennai and Kolkata, gold is trading at ₹1,08,370 (24-carat) and ₹99,340 (22-carat).
Lucknow and Jaipur witnessed the higher end of the price range, with 24-carat gold at ₹1,08,520 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹99,490. Patna quoted 24-carat gold at ₹1,08,420 and 22-carat at ₹99,390 per 10 grams.
In southern and eastern markets including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar, gold prices followed a similar downward bias. In these cities, 24-carat gold stood at ₹1,08,370 and 22-carat at ₹99,340 per 10 grams.
Meanwhile, silver remained the standout performer of the day, with its sharp rise establishing fresh strength in the bullion market.
