Death Toll in Nepal’s Gen Z Protests Rises to 34, Over 1,300 Injured

Kathmandu, September 11 (HS): In Nepal, the nationwide death toll from the recent violent Generation Z protests against ruling leaders has climbed to 34, while 1,368 people have been reported injured.

According to Nepalese newspaper The Himalayan Times, citing the Ministry of Health and Population, ministry spokesperson Dr. Prakash Budhathoki stated that at least 34 people have lost their lives and 1,368 others sustained injuries in these protests across the country. He added that most of the injured have now been discharged after treatment. So far, a total of 949 patients have been released from hospitals.

Meanwhile, with reports of demonstrations continuing in several parts of the country, officials from the Ministry of Health and Population are closely monitoring hospitals and coordinating with security agencies.
