India, EU Commit to Advancing Free Trade Agreement Talks: Piyush Goyal

New Delhi, September 13 (HS): Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Saturday said that India and the European Union remain committed to working towards a balanced and mutually beneficial Free Trade Agreement (FTA) at the earliest.

In a post on X, Goyal informed that European Trade Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič and European Agriculture Commissioner Christophe Hansen were in New Delhi to accelerate the ongoing negotiations. The official delegations from both sides held the 13th round of FTA talks.

“It was a pleasure hosting you for the 13th round of India–EU Free Trade Agreement negotiations. We are committed to working towards a balanced and mutually advantageous FTA that will unlock vast opportunities for both sides. Thank you for your visit. I look forward to our continued discussions,” Goyal wrote.
