Three New Ministers to Take Oath in Nepal Under Interim PM’s Recommendation

Kathmandu, September 15, 2025 (HS): Three new ministers will be sworn in at the President’s Office today at 11:30 AM, following a recommendation by Nepal’s interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki. The announcement was officially confirmed by the President’s Office.

Key Appointments

-Om Prakash Aryal will be entrusted with the Home Ministry as well as the Ministry of Law and Justice.

-Rameshwar Khanal, a former Finance Secretary, will take charge as Finance Minister.

-Kulman Ghising is expected to be appointed as the Minister for Energy, with the possibility of additional portfolios.

Ceremony Details

-The swearing-in ceremony will be held at the President’s Office in Kathmandu this morning.

High-level sources at Sheetal Niwas (the President’s residence) confirmed the details of the new cabinet assignments.
