Windsor, UK, September 17 (HS): In a dramatic protest ahead of President Donald Trump’s UK state visit, activists from the group Led by Donkeys projected images linking Trump to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein onto one of the towers of Windsor Castle, where Trump will stay during his visit.
The video montage included Trump’s mugshot, portraits of Epstein, media headlines, and footage showing the two men together, underscoring ongoing public scrutiny over Trump’s association with Epstein. Thames Valley Police swiftly intervened, arresting four individuals on suspicion of malicious communications related to the stunt.
The protest occurred amid heightened security as Trump’s visit sparked widespread demonstrations in Windsor and planned protests in London, despite Trump avoiding public appearances in the capital. Trump and First Lady Melania will stay at Windsor Castle, hosted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla, and engage in political and economic talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at his country residence.
The event highlights the continuing controversy surrounding Trump’s ties to Epstein, who died in prison in 2019 awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, and adds a charged atmosphere to the state visit marked by political and public tensions.
