Gold and Silver Hit Fresh Highs for Second Straight Day in Bullion Markets

New Delhi, September 23 (HS): Precious metals continued their upward streak in the domestic bullion market for the second consecutive day on Tuesday, with both gold and silver scaling fresh highs. Strong buying momentum lifted gold prices by ₹460–₹500 per 10 grams, while silver registered a modest rise of ₹100 per kilogram.

In most bullion markets across the country, 24-carat gold was trading in the range of ₹1,13,080 to ₹1,13,230 per 10 grams. Similarly, 22-carat gold was quoted between ₹1,03,660 and ₹1,03,810 per 10 grams. Silver also edged higher, with prices touching ₹1,38,100 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.

In Delhi, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,13,230 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at ₹1,03,810. In Mumbai, the financial hub, 24-carat gold was quoted at ₹1,13,080 and 22-carat at ₹1,03,660. Ahmedabad recorded 24-carat gold at ₹1,13,130 and 22-carat at ₹1,03,710 per 10 grams.

Chennai and Kolkata mirrored the upward trend, with 24-carat gold priced at ₹1,13,080 and 22-carat at ₹1,03,660 per 10 grams. In Lucknow and Jaipur, premium rates saw 24-carat gold at ₹1,13,230, while 22-carat traded at ₹1,03,810 per 10 grams. Patna markets quoted 24-carat gold at ₹1,13,130 and 22-carat at ₹1,03,710.

Southern and eastern markets, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar, also witnessed higher prices, with 24-carat gold trading at ₹1,13,080 and 22-carat at ₹1,03,660 per 10 grams.

The sustained rally highlights continued demand support for bullion amid global economic uncertainties and investors’ flight towards safe-haven assets.
