
Mumbai, October 8(HS): Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal on Wednesday asserted that no power in the world can stop India from becoming a developed nation by the year 2047. Addressing the ‘Global Fintech Fest’ in Mumbai, Goyal said India is not just participating but leading many global initiatives, evolving from a partner to a principal architect in the fintech landscape.
He emphasized that the government is actively fostering economic growth through measures aimed at strengthening domestic industries, building robust infrastructure, and expanding international trade partnerships.
“The world now looks towards India with trust and confidence,” Goyal stated, underscoring that collaboration with India ensures access to high-quality talent, skills, goods, and services—backed by a strong commitment to timely delivery.
Speaking on the theme “India’s Digital Promise: Building Trust, Trade and Technology for All,” he expressed satisfaction over the country’s progress in technological innovation and digital transformation. Goyal affirmed that India will play a leading role in shaping the global artificial intelligence ecosystem, driven by the creativity and expertise of its young professionals.
Highlighting the government’s forward-looking urban mobility plans, he added that the upcoming infrastructure projects would make mobility in Mumbai faster and more efficient, enabling citizens to travel from home to workplace in under an hour.
