National Games 2025: Services secured top position, host Uttarakhand remained at seventh place

Dehradun, 15 February (HS): The 38th National Games 2025 held in Uttarakhand concluded successfully on 14 February. Various teams including 28 states, eight union territories and Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) participated in this prestigious tournament. This sports event, which started on 26 January, became the center of excitement for sports lovers across the country.

Services won the medal tally

Services Sports Control Board (Services) topped the medal table with 121 medals (68 gold, 26 silver and 27 bronze). Maharashtra secured second place by winning a total of 201 medals (54 gold, 71 silver, 76 bronze), while Haryana secured third place with 153 medals (48 gold, 47 silver and 58 bronze). Host Uttarakhand performed brilliantly and secured seventh place in the medal tally with 24 gold medals.

However, Nagaland, Puducherry and Sikkim failed to win gold medals in this competition.

This event played an important role in honing sports talent and promoting competition at the national level.
