Passenger Vehicle Sales Rise 4% in September to 3,72,458 Units: SIAM

Delhi, 15 October (H.S.): In a positive sign for the Indian economy, wholesale sales of passenger vehicles grew by four percent year-on-year in September, reaching 3,72,458 units.The industry body, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), released the data on Wednesday, showing a notable increase in dispatches from manufacturers to dealers compared to the 3,56,752 units sold in the same period in 2024.The two-wheeler segment also recorded strong performance, with sales increasing by seven percent to 21,60,889 units from 20,25,993 units in September last year.

According to SIAM, the growth in both passenger vehicle and two-wheeler sales indicates robust performance in the automotive industry. The figures reflect rising consumer demand and market strength, signaling a positive outlook as manufacturers navigate challenges and capitalize on market opportunities.
