Washington, 17 October (H.S.): President Donald Trump on Thursday issued a direct threat to Hamas, warning of U.S. military intervention if the group fails to quell the internal bloodshed that has plagued Gaza since a ceasefire deal was reached with Israel last week. Trump stated, we will have no choice but to go in and kill them if the violence continues.This stern warning represents a significant shift from the president’s earlier, more dismissive comments about the infighting.

Trump demanded that Hamas disarm, stating, if they don’t do so, we will disarm them, and it’ll happen quickly and perhaps violently.

The escalating violence in Gaza follows the collapse of the Hamas-run police force during the two-year war with Israel. This has created a power vacuum, allowing armed gangs and rival factions to emerge. These groups are accused of hijacking humanitarian aid convoys and exacerbating the territory’s starvation crisis.
