PM Modi arrives in Guwahati, CM Sarma welcomes at LGBI airport

Guwahati, 24 February (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Guwahati on Monday late evening on a two-day visit to inaugurate the Jhumuir Binandini and Advantage Assam 2.0 programs organized in Guwahati. Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma warmly welcomed Prime Minister Modi at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBI). During this, the Chief Minister greeted the Prime Minister and presented him with a traditional Assamese Phoolan Gamochha to welcome him.

In view of this visit of Prime Minister Modi, tight security arrangements have been made in the state. Senior officials of the state government, ministers and many prominent BJP leaders were present at the airport.

During this visit of the Prime Minister, after inaugurating the Jhumoir Binandini program and addressing the program at Sarusojai Stadium on Monday, he will reach to inaugurate the stall of Advantage Assam 2.0 at Khanapara at night.The Prime Minister will inspect the 226 stalls set up in the premises for 45 minutes. After this, he will rest in Guwahati tonight. On Tuesday morning, the Prime Minister will participate in the Advantage Assam program.
