WASHINGTON, 28 October (H.S.): President Donald Trump confirmed on Monday that he underwent an MRI scan during a recent visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, describing the results as perfect.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One while en route to Asia, the 79-year-old president did not specify the reason for the scan, telling reporters to ask the doctors. He added that his physician reported the results were some of the best reports, for the age, they’ve ever seen.
The scan was part of what his physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, described at the time as a scheduled follow-up evaluation that included advanced imaging, laboratory testing, and preventative health assessments.
Following the visit earlier this month, Dr. Barbabella issued a statement affirming that the president continues to demonstrate excellent overall health.
Earlier this year, the White House disclosed that President Trump had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a common condition affecting blood flow in the legs.
