London, February 11 (HS): Under the UK-India Young Professionals Scheme (YPS), Indian youth are going to get the opportunity to study, work and migrate in Britain. The application process for this scheme will start from February 18 and continue till February 20.

According to the British High Commission, Indian citizens aged 18 to 30 years can apply for this opportunity on gov.uk. A total of 3000 applicants will get a chance to go to Britain this year. The application will be free, and the selection process will be based on a completely random system.

It is clearly mentioned in the statement that the applicants should be 18 years of age on the date of travel to Britain. Also, their educational qualification should be equal to or above a UK bachelor’s degree. Apart from this, before applying, all applicants have been asked to ensure that they are fulfilling all the necessary qualifications. It is said that Indian youth will get a lot of benefit from this scheme.

History and benefits of the scheme:

The scheme was launched in February 2023 and gives the youth of India and Britain an opportunity to live, study and work in each other’s countries for two years. In 2023, more than 2100 Indian citizens were issued visas under this scheme.

Selected candidates will be notified via email within two weeks of application. After this they will be able to apply for the visa process and deposit the required visa fee.

This scheme will give Indian youth a great opportunity to gain international experience, find new career opportunities and develop networks globally.
