Jammu, Dec 05(KINS): MLA Nagrota, Ms. Devyani Rana, attended the Felicitation Ceremony at Heritage School on Thursday and delivered an inspiring address encouraging students to pursue excellence with dedication, integrity, and purpose-driven leadership.
Reflecting on the significance of the event, Ms. Rana said the achievements of the young students symbolise hope and potential for the future. “Standing here today brings back memories of my own school days,” she said. “It is a profound honour to address such bright young minds and to stand beside the teachers who shape their futures. This moment is both humbling and deeply meaningful.”
She fondly remembered Late Shri Devender Singh Rana Ji and his long association with the school. “Rana Sahib visited this institution several times as Chief Guest and as a parent to a Heritagean. He held this school in the highest regard. Being invited here today is both a privilege and a responsibility,” she added.
Addressing the students directly, Ms. Rana urged them to work hard with perseverance and humility. “You are the future leaders, creators and changemakers of our nation. Your achievements should make your families proud, but they should also inspire others. True success isn’t just about awards—it is about the example you set and the lives you uplift. Excellence comes from discipline, humility, and doing the right thing even when no one is watching.”
She encouraged students to stay rooted in their values, remain focused on their goals, and approach the world with compassion. “Let your character be your compass and your efforts reflect the promise within you,” she said.
Heritage School Principal, Mr. Akash Pradhan, congratulated the achievers and said their success reflects the school’s commitment to shaping confident, responsible and capable individuals. He thanked the teachers and parents for their support and reaffirmed the institution’s dedication to nurturing academic excellence, creativity and leadership.
He also appreciated the guidance of the school’s leadership team — Chairman Sunil Gupta, Rohit Gupta, Vishal Gupta, Sunita Gupta, and Vice Principal Rashmi Thakur — for strengthening the school’s vision of holistic education.
The event included a series of cultural performances showcasing the students’ talent, confidence and creativity.
The programme concluded with the felicitation of top performers in various fields, celebrating their achievements and highlighting the spirit of discipline, aspiration and service that defines Heritage School.(KINS)
