Srinagar, Dec 16 (KINS):In a major early-morning operation, the Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Monday conducted predawn raids at multiple locations across the Kashmir Valley in connection with a terror-related case.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) that searches were carried out at 12 locations across seven districts, including Pulwama, Budgam, Kulgam, Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag and Kupwara.
The raids were conducted after obtaining search warrants in FIR No. 03/2023, registered under Sections 153-A and 505 of the IPC, and Sections 13 and 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) at Police Station CIK.
Sources said the case pertains to terror crime and online glorification of terrorism, allegedly aimed at radicalising youth and recruiting terrorists. Searches were underway at the time of filing this report.
