Veteran Dr. Hamid Durrani passes away at 93

Srinagar, Dec 19 (KINS): The Director SKIMS and EOSG, Prof. M. Ashraf Ganie, along with the entire SKIMS fraternity, has expressed profound grief over the demise of Dr. Hamid Durrani, former Senior Professor of Medicine at Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar, who passed away today at Khyber Hospital at the age of 93.

Dr. Durrani was a distinguished academician and clinician, widely respected for his lifelong dedication to medical education, patient care, and mentorship of generations of physicians. His immense contributions to the field of internal medicine and to the medical fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir will be remembered with deep respect and admiration.

He is survived by his son, an interventional cardiologist based in the United States, and two daughters.

The Director SKIMS and the SKIMS fraternity extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. They prayed that Almighty Allah grants him the highest place in Jannah and gives strength to his family to bear this irreparable loss.
