Srinagar, Jan 22 (KINS): Srinagar Ke Veer recorded their first win of ISPL Season 3 with a hard-fought 6-run victory over Falcon Risers Hyderabad in Match 19 at the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium on Wednesday.
Defending a low total of 72, Srinagar Ke Veer produced a strong bowling performance, led by Dilip Binjwa, to restrict Hyderabad to 66 for 9 in their 10 overs.
Batting first, Srinagar Ke Veer struggled against a disciplined Hyderabad bowling attack. Amol Nilugade top-scored with 18 runs off 15 balls, while wickets kept falling at regular intervals. A late boost came from Dhananjay Bhintade, who scored a quick 17 off 6 balls, and Harsh Adsul, who remained unbeaten on 13 off 9 balls, helping the team reach 72 for 8. For Hyderabad, Pritpal Singh and Parveen Kumar took two wickets each, while Mansoor KL gave away just 6 runs in his two overs.
In reply, Falcon Risers Hyderabad started well with Prashant Gharat scoring 18 off 10 balls. However, the chase collapsed in the middle overs as Srinagar’s bowlers struck regularly. Dilip Binjwa delivered a match-winning spell, picking up 3 wickets for 11 runs. Four Hyderabad batters were dismissed without scoring.
Sanskar Dhyani tried to keep Hyderabad in the contest with 26 off 17 balls, but lack of support from the other batters meant the team fell short at 66 for 9. Prajyot Ambhire and Dhananjay Bhintade also chipped in with a wicket each to seal the win for Srinagar Ke Veer.
In the upcoming matches, Delhi Superheros will face Ahmedabad Lions at 5:30 PM on Thursday, followed by Chennai Singams taking on Bengaluru Strikers at 8 PM.
