Srinagar, Jan 23 (KINS): MLA Tanvir Sadiq has reported widespread damage to houses and property in several , areas of his constituency following strong winds that hit Srinagar.
Sadiq as per news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service said, “Reports of damage to houses and property have come in from several areas of my constituency. I request the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to kindly look into it and the administration to ensure immediate relief to affected families.”
He also urged the Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, to conduct a prompt assessment of the damages.
According to Sadiq, areas including Zadibal, Bachidarwaza, Rainawari, Hazratbal, Gulshanbagh, and Mir Behri have suffered severe damage due to the strong winds. Photographs documenting the destruction have also been shared on his social media handle.(KINS)
