Jammu, Jan 23 (KINS): As part of the observance of National Voters’ Day, Director Information and Public Relations, Nitish Rajora, on Friday administered the National Voters’ Day (NVD) pledge to officers and employees of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) at the Media Complex in Jammu.
On the occasion, the Director along with DIPR officers and staff read out the pledge, reaffirming their commitment to the democratic values enshrined in the Constitution of India. They pledged to uphold the principles of democracy, exercise their voting rights responsibly, and encourage greater participation in the electoral process.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director Information highlighted the importance of this year’s National Voters’ Day theme, “My India, My Vote”, saying it reflects the need to strengthen democratic institutions and create awareness about informed and ethical voting.
He also emphasized the key role of DIPR in supporting the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activities of the Election Department. The Director urged DIPR personnel to actively contribute towards spreading voter awareness and promoting inclusive participation in elections.(KINS)
