Rakesh Mahajan meets Home Minister Amit Shah; discusses J&K political situation





Srinagar, Jan 27 (KINS): Rakesh Mahajan, Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu and Kashmir, met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence in New Delhi.

During the meeting, the two leaders as per news agency Kashmir Indepth news Service (KINS) discussed the present political situation in Jammu and Kashmir and the party’s future organisational plans. Mahajan thanked the Home Minister and the central leadership for the trust and confidence shown in him earlier when he was considered for a Rajya Sabha nomination.

They also held detailed discussions on issues related to the Pir Panjal region, including local political conditions, challenges at the grassroots level, and ways to further strengthen the party organisation.

Mahajan briefed the Home Minister about the BJP’s ongoing organisational activities and outreach programmes across the Union Territory. Plans to strengthen the party and improve public outreach were also reviewed.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah appreciated the efforts of the BJP leadership in Jammu and Kashmir and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to political stability, development, and a strong organisational presence in the region.(KINS)
