An avalanche hit Sonamarg tourist resort in Jammu and Kashmir late Tuesday night, but there was no loss of life, officials said.

The avalanche occurred at 10.12 pm near the stretch where Inter Mountain Sonamarg and Sonamarg Inn hotels are located, with some impact reported in the surrounding area.

Officials have confirmed that no casualties or injuries have been reported so far, and the situation is being closely monitored.
