Drug trade directly linked to terror funding,security agencies monitoring all platforms: LG Manoj Sinha





Srinagar, May 18 (KINS): Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha said that security agencies are working with complete seriousness to monitor all digital platforms, including Telegram and WhatsApp, to maintain peace and security in the Union Territory.
In a conversation with CNN-News18, the Lieutenant Governor said that agencies are closely monitoring every aspect related to online activities and communication platforms to ensure that the situation remains under control.
“Our security agencies are working with complete seriousness. Whether it is Telegram, WhatsApp or any other platform, agencies are monitoring every aspect and the situation will remain under control,” he said.
Highlighting the growing concern over narcotics, the Lieutenant Governor said that the drug menace is directly linked to terror funding and terrorism. He stressed that the administration and security forces are taking strict measures to dismantle drug networks operating in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Drugs are directly linked to terror funding and terrorism,” he said, adding that the fight against narcotics is being treated with utmost priority to safeguard the youth and maintain peace in the region.
The Lieutenant Governor further reiterated the administration’s commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring strict action against elements involved in anti-national and illegal activities.(KINS)
