02 March (HS): It is very important to follow traffic rules to prevent
accidents on national highways and city roads. While driving two-wheelers and
four-wheelers, vehicle owners must wear seat belts and helmets and be aware of
traffic rules. Despite this, strict action should be taken against those who
are negligent. This instruction was given by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath
during a virtual meeting on Sunday.
The
meeting of the Uttar Pradesh State Road Safety Council was concluded through
video conferencing under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police
Traffic Ravindra Kumar, Chief Medical Officer and officials of other
departments attended this meeting. Important instructions related to road
safety were given in the meeting. In this, emphasis was laid on organizing
meetings of district level road safety committees, strict adherence to traffic
rules, and organizing traffic awareness programs. Apart from this, instructions
were also given in the meeting that awareness and debate programs related to
road safety rules should be organized in all schools-colleges and educational
institutions. Traffic awareness programs will be organized for a week, in which
emphasis will be laid on installing seat belts, wearing helmets etc. Strict
action will be taken against those who violate traffic rules.
