Nepal's former crown prince Paras Shah suffers heart attack, admitted to hospital

Kathmandu, March 03 (HS): Nepal’s former crown prince Paras Veer Vikram Shah has been admitted to the hospital after suffering a heart attack last night. Members of the royal family said that after being admitted to the hospital on Sunday night, doctors have confirmed a heart attack.

On behalf of the former royal family, his communication secretary Phanindra Pathak said that after having dinner last night, former crown prince Paras Shah suddenly complained of severe chest pain, after which he was admitted to Kathmandu’s Norvic Hospital late at night on the advice of private doctors. A team of senior doctors is treating him in the ICU of the hospital. He said that the former prince’s condition is currently out of danger.

At present, the former crown prince’s father and former King of Nepal Gyanendra Shah is in Pokhara with his wife Komal Shah. After receiving the news of Paras’ heart attack, he left for Kathmandu from Pokhara on Monday morning.
