New Delhi, March 8 (HS): Mumbai Indians have signed South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch for IPL 2025, replacing fast bowler Lizard Williams, who is sidelined by a knee injury. Williams also missed the SA20 tournament in January and remains unfit. Bosch was acquired for Rs 75 lakh.

Corbin Bosch, who was not bought by any franchise in the IPL 2025 auction, has now become a part of the Mumbai Indians setup. He has already been a part of the franchise’s SA20 team, MI Cape Town, where he performed brilliantly this season. He took 11 wickets in eight matches, including brilliant figures of 4/19 against Sunrisers Eastern Cape.

This is not the first time Bosch has got the opportunity to join the IPL team. Earlier he joined Rajasthan Royals as a net bowler and was later included in the team in place of Nathan Coulter-Nile. However, he has not yet got a chance to debut in the IPL.

At the international level, Bosch made his Test debut against Pakistan in the 2024 Boxing Day Test at Centurion. A few days earlier, he also made his international debut in the ODI against Pakistan in Johannesburg. Apart from this, he was also included in South Africa’s Champions Trophy team as a replacement for Enrique Norkia.
