He urged the creative industry to globalize India’s narrative and boost economic growth through responsible content, innovative storytelling, skill development, and exporting Indian creativity. Goyal emphasized creators as digital ambassadors shaping global perceptions and expanding India’s cultural footprint. He noted that Prime Minister Modi’s Digital India initiative has facilitated content creation across the nation, supported by low data costs. The evolving creative sector now includes gaming, AI-driven content, and digital media, representing a multi-billion-dollar industry with vast potential.
At RISE//DEL, Piyush Goyal urged participants to use these engagements for future growth and highlighted influencers’ roles in popularizing new technologies and connecting people to India’s heritage. He noted the potential for developing educational tools based on Indian pedagogy, creating opportunities for content creators. Goyal stressed that the government’s role is to facilitate individuals in realizing their ideas and technologies, and he encouraged global collaboration in creative fields. He emphasized tourism’s potential through digital storytelling, citing the Mahakumbh as a draw for international audiences.
