New Delhi, April 14 (HS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah aims to eliminate Naxalism in India by March 2026, with a focused campaign in Chhattisgarh involving central security forces and state police. Ramvichar Netam, the Chhattisgarh Minister for Tribal Development and Farmer Welfare, emphasized that solutions in a democracy should stem from the constitution rather than violence.

In an interview with Hindusthan Samachar Netam outlined a strong stance against Naxalite leadership, expressing a commitment to addressing those who lead tribal communities astray. He advocated for dialogue with those open to discussion, while acknowledging the need to confront those who resort to violence.

Netam noted that the conflict revolves around developmental issues, highlighting the importance of infrastructure, such as schools, hospitals, and security, which Naxalites hinder by sabotaging projects. He criticized Naxalites for misleading tribals in remote areas like Bastar, Bijapur, and Narayanpur, claiming they distort government intentions regarding resources like water and land. He reassured that under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Shah, the Chhattisgarh government is dedicated to resolving this issue comprehensively, maintaining an open dialogue approach.

Netam reiterated that the protection of tribal resources and individual safety is a governmental responsibility, emphasizing loyalty to the constitution over any extremist organizations.
