Bijapur/Raipur, April 21 (H.S.): Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh witnessed a tragic incident on Monday when soldier Manoj Pujari (26), from the 19th Battalion, was martyred in an IED blast. He was assigned to security duty for road construction on the Toynar-Farsegarh road.
According to the Bijapur Superintendent of Police, the blast occurred in the Moramed forest, approximately 4 kilometers from Toynar, while a group of soldiers was patrolling. The explosion was deadly, resulting in Pujari’s immediate death. Additional security forces have been deployed, and a thorough search operation is currently underway, with a detailed report promised post-operation.
