A Strong Response to Pakistan's Jihadist War Against India is Necessary: VHP Leader Dr. Surendra Jain

New Delhi, April 23 (HS): Dr. Surendra Jain, the central joint general secretary of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), has condemned the terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. He stated that the time has come to ensure the harshest actions against Islamic jihadist Pakistan and its Kashmiri sleeper cells, to annihilate the religious terrorism that dares to raise its head again in the valley.

He said that the way pilgrims were stripped of their clothes, asked for the kalma, and had their IDs checked to confirm they were not Muslim, followed by their massacre, is utterly condemnable. The entire country is shocked and outraged by this inhumane incident. Dr. Jain remarked that there is a daring resurgence of the terrorism reminiscent of the 1990s. Sleeper cells of terrorists still exist in the Kashmir Valley, waiting to carry out such despicable cowardly acts at the behest of Pakistan. He reminded that a few days ago, a Member of Parliament had said that the tourists or pilgrims coming to Kashmir or buying land here are committing cultural encroachment. Shortly after that, the Chief of the Pakistan Army stated that our only agenda left is to take back Kashmir. Perhaps he orchestrated this jihadist terrorist attack to fulfill that agenda.

Dr. Surendra Jain stated that this is not a normal terrorist incident; it is an announcement of open war by Pakistan against India. The Indian government should respond with strength and ensure that the days of terrorism do not return, and that no Pakistani leader or military officer dares to speak such words again.

Dr. Jain noted that some people say that terrorists have no religion, but their religion is clearly visible. He questioned why Muslim leaders in India remain silent on this brutal massacre. They can create chaos throughout the country by showing a false fear of the Waqf Act, but they have no courage to take to the streets in protest against the murder of these innocent Hindu pilgrims in the Kashmir Valley. He asserted that immediate action should be taken; otherwise, this anger may escalate. The VHP leader announced that VHP and Bajrang Dal workers would hold nationwide protests on April 25.
