ABVP creates history in JNUSU: Wins 23 out of 42 Councillor Seats

ABVP leads strongly on All Four Central Panel seats of JNUSU

New Delhi,27 April(HS): Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad achieved historic victories in JNUSU elections, winning 23 out of 42 councillor seats across 16 schools, the highest by any student organization.

Details of ABVP’s Victories across the Councillor posts:

•School of International Studies: won 2 out of 5 seats

•School of Social Sciences: won 2 out of 5 seats

•School of Biotechnology: won 1 out of 2 seats

•Special Centre for Molecular Medicine: won 1 out of 1 seat

•School of Computational and Integrative Sciences: won 1 out of 2 seats

•School of Computer and System Sciences: won 2 out of 3 seats

•School of Engineering: won 4 out of 4 seats (clean sweep)

•Special Centre for NanoScience: won 1 out of 1 seat

•School of Sanskrit and Indic Studies: won 3 out of 3 seats (clean sweep)

•Amalgamated Centre: won 2 out of 2 seats (clean sweep)

•School of Environmental Science: won 1 out of 2 seats

•Atal Bihari Vaypayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship: won 1 out of 1 seat

•School of Physical Sciences: won 2 out of 3 seats

ABVP achieved significant milestones in the recent JNU elections, securing two seats in the School of Social Sciences for the first time in 25 years and two seats in the School of International Studies, challenging long-standing leftist dominance.

Demonstrating a robust presence, several candidates were elected unopposed to Councillor posts across various schools: Surendra Bishnoi in the School of Biotechnology, Praveen Piyush, Raja Babu, and Prachi Jaiswal in the School of Sanskrit and Indic Studies, and Govardhan Singh in the Special Centre for Molecular Medicine.

Moreover, ABVP candidates are leading in all four major positions of the Central Panel, with Shiksha Swaraj for President, Nittu Goutham for Vice-President, Kunal Rai for General Secretary, and Vaibhav Meena for Joint-Secretary. ABVP JNU Unit President Rajeshwar Kant Dubey emphasized that these victories mark the beginning of positive change driven by their commitment to nationalism and student welfare.
