ABVP Releases JNUSU Election Candidate List

New Delhi, 15 April (H.S.): The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has announced its list of probable candidates for the upcoming Jawaharlal Nehru University Student Union (JNUSU) elections. The list includes Thite Shambhavi Pramod, Anuj Damara, Kunal Rai, Vikas Patel, Rajeshwar Kant Dubey, Shikha Swaraj, Nittu Goutham, Arun Srivastava, and Akash Kumar Ravani. All candidates have filed their nomination papers today and after scrutiny, four final names will be chosen for the central panel posts of President, Vice-President, General Secretary, and Joint Secretary.

ABVP activists have already started campaigning by visiting hostels and classes to share their positive and constructive work over the past six years. In addition to the central panel, 42 councilor posts for 16 schools and a special combined center will also be elected. Tomorrow is the deadline for withdrawal of nominations, and voting will take place on 25th April. To ensure an impactful campaign focused on outreach, ABVP has launched a pre-campaign where activists are engaging in dialogue with students and presenting their organization’s work.

Arjun Anand, ABVP’s Central Election Coordinator for JNUSU elections, stated that they are fully prepared and committed to promoting responsible leadership by selecting dedicated and active student leaders. Based on suggestions from students, ABVP will soon release a dedicated manifesto.

As the only active student organization that raises student concerns, ABVP is determined to bring about positive change in JNU through responsible student leadership.
