Prayagraj,
24 April (H.S.): Members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP),
Allahabad University unit, gathered today at the Students’ Union Building Gate
to strongly condemn the brutal terrorist attack on tourists in the Baisaran
area of Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which occurred on Tuesday. The activists
burned effigies of terrorism and Pakistan in protest and observed a moment of
silence to pay tribute to the victims.
Abhinav
Mishra, National Executive Council Member of ABVP, stated that targeting
innocent tourists based on their religion and executing them in cold blood is a
cowardly act and a blot on the values of humanity. This heinous attack led to
the ruthless killing of 26 civilians and left many others seriously injured.
Such an incident is a brutal assault on social harmony and civilizational
values and cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. ABVP pays heartfelt
tributes to the departed souls, prays for the swift recovery of the injured,
and stands in solidarity with the bereaved families in this hour of grief.
Kartikeya
Pati Tripathi, Joint Secretary of the ABVP Kashi, emphasized that this horrific
attack reaffirms the urgent need to eradicate terrorism from its roots. ABVP
demands that the central government identify all terrorists and their local
collaborators involved in the attack and ensure the harshest possible
punishment. Furthermore, all systems that nurture terrorism in the Kashmir
valley must be dismantled to make this sacred land terror-free. Decisive and
uncompromising action against terrorism is now essential to uphold the unity of
the nation and ensure the safety of its citizens.
