Advanced surveillance technology deployed at Navayuga Tunnel

Srinagar, 30 March (H.S.): In a bid to enhance security on the National Highway, police in Kulgam today deployed advanced surveillance technology at the Navayuga Tunnel.

The new measures include wall radar and thermal screening systems, designed to detect concealed contraband, illegal weapons, and other illicit materials within vehicles.

Officials stated that the technology will strengthen efforts to prevent smuggling and identify potential threats in real time.

To assess the system’s operational effectiveness, senior officers, including DIG (SKR) Anantnag Javid Iqbal, Commander 1 Sector RR, DIG CRPF, SSP Kulgam Sahil Sarangal, and Additional SP NHW Qazigund, were present.

The officers expressed satisfaction with the newly introduced technology, emphasizing its role in bolstering highway security.
