NEW DELHI, 5 March (H.S.): The party will hold the Block and District Congress Committee meeting to resume to revive the Congress party in Delhi. After the assembly elections held in Delhi in 2025 and the crushing defeat in them, State Congress Committee President Devendra Yadav has resumed the meetings of the Block and District Congress Committee to revive the party in the capital.
The Party’s State President said, this will help revive the party at the grassroots level. He said that due to the assembly elections, these meetings could not be held for the last few months, but when these meetings resumed, the response of the workers was very encouraging.
Delhi Congress president Devendra Yadav said that all Congress workers participated in the Block Congress Committee meetings held in 258 blocks on March 2 and in 14 districts on Wednesday, March 5. These meetings were attended by senior leaders including former MPs, former Delhi ministers, former MLAs, former and present municipal councillors and office bearers.
Devendra Yadav said that Delhi Congress, as a responsible opposition party, will raise the voice of the people if the BJP government in Delhi does not fulfil the promises made and fails to restart the development work. He said that the development work done by the Congress government during its 15 years of rule to make Delhi one of the best cities in the world was destroyed by the 11 years of misrule of the Kejriwal government. Now people expect the BJP government to restore the old glory of the capital, which the Delhi Congress will monitor closely.
After a long time, Congress fought vigorously in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, but the election results did not come as expected. Even the vote share in the election did not reach double digits. All the candidates lost the election.
