Nandurbar, 07 Apr (HS):- Farmers in 103 tehsils of
24 districts in Maharashtra were affected by the unseasonal rains during the
last five days. The onion crop in thousands of acres was the most affected.
Agriculture Minister Adv Mnaikrao Kokate has assured
help to the affected farmers. The orders to carry out the ‘Panchnama’ to assess
the losses incurred have been issued. Kokate said that the survey will be
completed within eight days. The government is committed to extending help to
farmers affected by the vagaries of the climate.
