
Bareilly, 14 May (HS): In Bareilly’s Faridpur, a youth had to
pay a heavy price for posting a video on social media in support of Pakistan.
The police arrested him after registering an FIR. The youth had posted
anti-national posts on social media. A video of the accused has also surfaced,
in which he is seen limping. He is raising slogans of Pakistan Murdabad and
Bharat Mata Ki Jai. Dumpy alias Fakhruddin, a resident of Padarathpur village
of Faridpur police station area, had posted a video in support of Pakistan on
his social media account. Taking the screenshot of the said video and his
social media account, people tweeted and complained to the police.
Action was demanded against him. Bareilly police took cognizance
of the complaint and directed Faridpur police to investigate and take action.
The police station identified the accused youth with the help of cyber cell and
arrested him. SP Rural Anshika Verma said that the accused Fakhruddin had
posted anti-national posts on his Facebook account on May 12. Taking cognizance
of the matter, an investigation was conducted by the cyber cell. A report was
filed against the accused. After this, the accused has been arrested and sent
to jail.
A young man had also committed mischief in Devraniyan area: Earlier,
Mohammad Sajid, a resident of Girdharpur village of Devraniyan police station
area, had posted a video on Facebook, in which some youths were seen waving
flags and raising slogans in support of Pakistan. People complained about this
matter to the police on X. The police took the matter seriously. SSI Navdeep
Kumar of the police station had filed a report against Sajid. The police
arrested him on Sunday night. After this, he was sent to jail.
